Greetings!
I'm Lucy ( _superherogirl_ @ LJ )! I was really excited to see there was already a Tarot community created on DreamWidth. Well, there's not much to say about me other than, I'm very bubbly, friendly, spiritual, artsy, and love animals ( especially fluffy bunnies, that I more than have enough of at home ♥ more of my interests on my LJ profile ). I've also been into cartomancy since I was real young, and love giving just about anyone a reading. Immediately upon creating my journal on here, I made a duplicate of my Tarot community

Unfortunately, since I recently got myself a new computer my website has yet to be properly dressed for business. Although, I believe that will change before my birthday. Anyways, got a little sidetracked there. :x *blush* If anyone is interested in weekly insight, discussion, funtimes, constant recommendations, news, and the like related to Tarot, please don't hesitate to join. I usually transfer most posts from LJ, so if you have an account over there as well, come and join me over there too! <3 If you have any questions of the nature of the community, please check the intro post here. Hopefully that answers any and all of your questions. If not ask away! The layout and graphics are still in the works, but I do intend to change that soon. :)
Gosh, I'm always so nervous when posting in a community, so I hope I did everything right. :o Looking forward to meeting new people on DW, take care everyone! <33333

Heellloo! Forgive my long comment ahead! *hides*
Hey there! Thanks so much for the comment! :D *hugs* I'm so glad you got into reading as well, it's so wonderful for insight and the like. I dunno what I'd do without my cards. :3 Oooh as for decks, I usually read with my first ever deck which is the more than obvious Rider-Waite. Although, I have a growing collection so the querent may pick which they'd like a reading with. Most of them if not all deal with faeries, fantasy, or anime/manga style. Here are some links if you'd like to check some out too. :3
Mystic Faerie Tarot, The Tarot's Numen ( took me forever to get it and it was so pricey on eBay D: ), the ever popular Fey Tarot ( with all the reason in the world in my opinion ), and one of my faves to date The Manga Tarot from Lo Scarabeo. I'll probably add a sticky note post over at my comm to keep up with my collection ( because I'm kinda embarrassed just to link them all here D:. Also, for anyone interested I'll also add the shops you can go to on the web so you can get them at a decent price if interested. :D <33333
And oh my, I think I'm about to go into fangirl mode because the Mystic Dream Tarot is BEAUTIFUL. Thanks so much for sharing! I've actually had my eye on it for quite some time. The art and the colors decorating each card is to die for. <333 *squeees*
Once again thanks so much for the comment, and the joinage! ;D By the way are you into reading Japanese style manga? I know this is all farfetched, but I got into this graphic novel from Korea that has a lot of Tarot related elements. Pamela is one of those main characters that you'll feel for instantly, and she's a Tarot reader too so that's a plus. <3 ( I know I posted it on

Re: Heellloo! Forgive my long comment ahead! *hides*
One of the reasons I like Mystic Dreamer so much is that it so closely follows the Rider-Waite style. For some reason, the really traditional imagery just works for me for actual "Tarot" decks, although I have nine or ten "oracle" decks that are completely original and have none of the Tarot symbolism. I can read Tarot cards for other people and myself. but oracle cards I generally use just for myself.
I'm not really a big manga fan myself, but that's awesome that an author incorporated Tarot into one! Tarot really has a great mythology to it, there's so much that can be done with it!

I'm surprised I have yet to get myself an oracle deck actually. D: I remember the moment I first laid eyes on a Tarot card... If I'm not mistaken I was five, and my dad in his messy office left them out in the open. Although, he only used the cards as a ploy to pick up women back in his, for lack of a better word, extremely flirty days. *feels bad for typing that, but anyway* Sadly, he doesn't believe in the cards or the many purposes they offer us. No matter, because it was then that I knew there was something special about the cards. They've always had a connection with me ever since! XD But I also agree very much about the Mystic Dreamer Tarot, because I'm so fond/used to the Rider-Waite style. That specific deck follows the RW philosophy more so than others. It's wonderful!
Yes, yes! Definitely! I've written so much original stuff thanks to the cards. As a matter of fact, I started writing my rendition of the Fool's Journey last year. I'm really shy so I haven't shared it with many people yet. I've only gotten to the Emperor, but hopefully I can leave the shyness behind and post it someday. XD
