sashajwolf: photo of woman standing in a forest with moon behind her (moon)
([personal profile] sashajwolf posting in [community profile] tarot Jul. 23rd, 2009 09:03 am)
Last month did seem to have some effect in unblocking my emotions (see the previous post in this comm), which was good. This month's draw:-

Where I am now: Five of Wands
Theme for the coming month: Death (reversed)
Things to look out for: Hanged Man (reversed)

This seems to be saying that I'm currently preparing for the future and that this is about to accelerate in some way. The next month should be a time of hope and rebirth. However, the Hanged Man card seems to tell me that I should be careful not to let the changes run away with me - I need to exercise some caution as well, and not give up my sense of who I am. Sounds like an interesting month ahead!

Death reversed can also mean that a rebirth will be problematic, or won't fully happen, or won't happen at all. A situation could linger when it'd be better off dying.

In this case, the Hanged Man reversed sounds like you might cling too tightly to who you are, that you might not surrender to a needed experience and thus get no new insight from it.

Since these are Majors, I don't think these issues are going to be resolved over the next month. Your current situation (the Five of Wands) might change, but the forces behind Death reversed and the Hanged Man reversed are larger themes in your life. If I got cards like this, I'd look at my notes on past spreads to get more detail on those larger themes, as well as at my life to see what I wasn't opening my eyes to. I'd also do another spread with more cards. I don't think this is a particularly optimistic spread, even though the situation card is fairly lighthearted, so there's got to be something more to it.
